Justice Sachar attend IKFS’ 3rd Anniversary Mega Event

Rajindar Sachar, Former Chief Justice of the Delhi High Court and the Head of “The Rajindar Sachar Committee”, made key

note speech during the Indo-Kuwait Friendship Society’s 3rd school Auditorium on 1st Justice Sachar said he is pleased to attend IKFS event and to know the people of Kuwait as well as personalities of both Indian and Kuwaiti sides. Justice Sachar touch based few points. However, he said that he is denouncing the sedition laws in India stating that is a vestige from the British rule, Sedition means to spread disaffection against Government and this is central to the idea of democracy. He added that out of the 15.0% minorities in India, Muslims account for 13.5%.

Buddhists, Jains, Christians, Sikhs made up the rest, However, when it comes to distribution of minority benefits, non-
Muslim minorities who make about 1.5% of the minorities receive more than 40% of it. This is the reason that the “Sachar Committee” recommended in the report to utilize minority funds at Taluk levels. So that areas where there are more Muslim can be offered more funds.

Justice Sachar was also a member of United Nations’ Sub-Commission on the Promotion and Protection of Human Rights was honored with ‘ I K F S 2013 EXCELLENCE AWARD FOR SOCIAL JUSTICE” By Attorney at Law / Advocate Sayid Mohamed Nizar Thangal, the Vice President of IKFS. Justice Sachar said that he is very much impressed with IKFS’ activities and IKFS’ contribution towards restoring National Unity, Patriotism, and the Indian national Integrity despite of caste and religion.

The event was inaugurated by Honorable Subashish Goldar, The Charge D’ Affaires of Indian Embassy in Kuwait. Subashish said that he is very much pleased to attend the IKFS’ celebrations and honoring Justice Rajindar Sacharji with IKFS 2013 Excellence Award for Social Justice”.

Dr. Ghalib Al-Mashoor, President of IKFS said in his presidential address that IKFS members are very much honored to receive India’s great personality Justice Rajindar Sacharji” in their 3rd anniversary celebrations. He said that “IKFS Excellence Award” was given based on dedicated efforts and services to up-lift the minority communities in India and while appreciating his valuable contributions towards social justice. Engineer Mukhtar Marouf, President of Federation of Indian Muslim Associations (an Umbrella Association of 15 Indian Muslim Associations) was also expressed felicitation speech.

IKFS also bestowed “Token of Appreciation” plaques to the Patrons of Indo-Kuwait Friendship Society Sami Bubere, (Chief Editor of Indo-Gulf Times, Ummeeth magazines & President of Sahyog Cultural Society, Mumbai, Dhaval Bathia (International Trainer and author of Vedic mathematic and Technical of Maths books), Muzammil Malik,(Industrialist) Sayid Nasir Thangal,(Chairman of KKMCC & KKSMC) , Engineer Bader Al-Otaibi (Director of Commercial Licenses, Municipality, Hawalli Governorate ). Ayyoob Kacheri,(Regional Director of Grand Hyper Market), Dr. Abdul Razzak Rumane,(International Award Winner and Author of Engineering and Project books). Shanthi Maria James, Principal of Indian Central School and the Award winner of Best Teacher’s award from Indian President), Dr. Mohamed Tareq, (Chairman of Salmiya Indian Model School), P.K. Ahamed, (Chairman of Rajdhani Palace Hotel), Giovanni Petrigh (General Manager of Plaza Athenee Hotel) also honored in different functions held by IKFS. Other Guests of Honor included Dr. P.A. Ibrahim Haji, Co-Chairman of Malabar Gold & Diamonds. “Token of Appreciation” plaques were handed over each of the Patrons by H.E. Rajindar Sachar, Subashish Goldaer, Sami Bubere, Dhaval Bathia, Engineer Bade Al-IOtaibi and Muzammil Malik.

IKFS Vice President Advocate Sayid M. Nizar was handed over “Token of Appreciation Plague” in recognition of his Best services in various Legal issues” by H.E. Justice Rajindar Sachar.

The event was opened by Shaikh Abid Al-Qasmi’s recitation of few holy verses from “Quran Shereef” followed by welcome speech by A.K.S. Abdul Nazar, General Secretary. Iftekhar Ahamed, Treasurer expressed vote of thanks.
